On Wednesday February 23rd Trailer will join Stukafest for an episode of Oplaad Bioscoop!
In Dutch:
Trailer zit vol met ideeën, sterke verhalen, meningen en halve waarheden welke ze het liefst illustreren met allerlei leuke, grappige, enge, spannende, toffe, interessante, ranzige en boeiende filmpjes die zij op het web vinden.
Voor Stukafest gaan ze visueel met elkaar in gesprek over copyright aan de hand van YouTube, DailyMotion en Vimeo. Deze beeldenwisseling kan leiden tot meligheid, verontwaardiging, inzichten en nieuwe ontdekkingen.

UPLOAD CINEMA* OPLAAD BIOSCOOP October 21st @ Beatburger

On Thursday October 21st Trailer and Rotterdam Collective collaborate to offer a special film night; OPLAAD BIOSCOOP.
In relation to the exhibition CopyClash, currently at display at ROT(T)TERDAM this nights' film programme will be made by you, resulting in a so called 'upload cinema'!
Therefor we'd like to invite you to contribute one or more short web-films that you find cool / funny / interesting / disturbing / horrible and are (preferably) related to or add to the the theme of the exhibiton CopyClash (copyright, ownership, authenticity, plagiarism, public domain, originality, etc).
Send your best links to info@trailernet.org before October 18th and we'll have a splendid movie night, celebrating the last few days of the exhibition CopyClash.
The best entries will be rewarded by a tasty BeatBurger!
Op donderdag 21 oktober brengen het Rotterdam Collective en Trailer en speciale filmavond: OPLAAD BIOSCOOP.
In het verlengde van de tentoonstelling CopyClash, momenteel te zien bij ROT(T)TERDAM, zal het programma voor deze filmavond volledig door jullie samengesteld worden met als resultaat een zogenaamde ‘upload cinema’.
Daarom zouden wij jullie graag uitnodigen om een of meerdere korte webfilms aan te dragen die je cool / grappig / interessant / verontrustend / verschrikkelijk vindt. Bij voorkeur is je bijdrage gerelateerd aan het thema van de tentoonstelling CopyClash (copyright, auteurschap, authenticiteit, plagiaat, publiek domein, orginaliteit etc.).
Stuur je beste links voor 18 oktober naar info@trailernet.org en we zullen een toffe filmavond hebben waarin we de laatste dagen van CopyClash zullen vieren.

Opening
This year ROT(T)TERDAM will extend Witte de Withstraat to the Meent! The Exhibition CopyClash will open at 17:00 just as ‘De Wereld van Witte de With’ is breaking down. It is also the official release of the 1st issue of Trailer magazine.
Exhibition
Our cultural innovation has always been guaranteed by building upon the works and ideas of others. Especially in our digital era many works are being barricaded by copyrights or other forms of intellectual property laws. This endangers the nature of our cultural innovative ecosystem by eroding the cultural soil, essential for the growth of new cultures.
The works in CopyClash and the corresponding magazine shows how cultural innovation is held back by the clashing borders of today’s intellectual property, copyright, originality, authenticity and plagiarism.
In order to protect our cultural richness we are in need of new approaches that create a better balance between the availability of cultural goods and the reward or protection of it's authors.
Research centre
All research material for CopyClash is presented in the research centre at the exhibition space. Visitors can sit back and enjoy a selection of relevant films, books, documentaries, essays and other related material.

Trailer magazine
During the opening of CopyClash, Trailer will officially release their first issue of Trailer magazine. This publication offers many other perspectives using relevant essays, interviews, columns, in depth stories about the artists and a lot more.
CopyClash is a project by curatorial collective Trailer.
